Chivalry 2 Crossplay works – but does not yet have crossplay parties

Chivalry 2 is the latest medieval hack and slash game from Canadian developers, Torn Banner Studios. The latest release is a much more upgraded version over the first game, including modern class features, vast quantities of weapons, customizations, and of course, modern features like crossplay. Although, Chivalry 2 crossplay is a miss-match at the moment. Servers support crossplay in live games between all platforms, although there are no crossplay parties.

In a very recent state of Chivalry 2, developers Torn Banner Studio informed their player base of the current issue and future content relating to the game. They confirmed in the blog post that crossplay isn’t that functional for playing with friends on different platforms. So far, the crossplay for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S works, although the crossplay between PlayStation 4 and 5 is still a work in progress. As for Xbox, PlayStation, or PC connecting in a single party, that appears to be a way off.
Chivalry 2 developers have a public Trello board, allowing fans to see what content is a big priority for the dev team. Furthermore, players can get a sneak peek of new content coming to the game, along with a potential patch they’ll arrive at. So far, it seems like the PS generation party invites are a high priority, but there’s no eta as it stands. Furthermore, the overall Chivalry 2 crossplay feature for parties on any platform is a long way off.
So, if you’re playing on Epic Games Store, you can only add a friend to apathy from the Epic Games Store. To do so, simply head to the social tab at the bottom right of the main menu. Likewise, suppose you are on either Xbox console. In that case, you can crossplay invite a friend by finding their username and sending them an invite, with the other person seeing their received invite in the in-game tab or through their console’s notification tray.
