Smite is one of the only MOBAs in the world that is published on PC, consoles and the Switch. Due to this reason, Smite has become a very popular title because of it. Smite developers made it so Smite’s crossplay is very accessible and easy to work. For those wondering how it works and how to access Smite crossplay settings, we have you covered.

As it stands, there is no option for PC players to turn off crossplay, as they automatically queue into their input device queues. Console players do still have this option, with console players going into options, user interface, and toggling different crossplay options. The Smite console player base has the option to do crossplay, console only, or off. This means they can opt to queue into PC players, just console players, or just the platform they are on. If the PS4 or Xbox only options are selected, the option to use the keyboard and mouse becomes disabled.

Is Smite Cross Platform?

Smite is cross-platform with the Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and the PC. While Smite’s Season 6 launched with a crossplay feature, it wasn’t widely accessible, especially for PlayStation users. In late 2019, Hi-Rez finally enabled crossplay for the PS4, to connect with PC, Xbox and Switch players on Smite, Paladins, and Realm Royale, and most recently, Rogue Company on PS5. Finally, all the platforms Hi-Rez published Smite on could play together.

Despite the update, Smite’s crossplay has since changed as of the Smite Season 7 Vigilant update. The update removed the open cross-platform option for PC players, instead favouring queues depending on the input method. If a player uses a controller, then they will join queues for whatever game mode they queue for. On the other hand, if the player uses a keyboard and mouse, they’ll join the K&M queue.

How to Enable Cross Progression?

If you’re one of those players that like playing the same game across different platforms, then you’ll be pleased to know that Smite has this feature. To enable cross progression, head over to your Hi-Rez account, and link all your platforms together. You can only add one account from each platform. If you wish to unlink an account later, it will lose its progress and unlocks.

For those buying gems, you need to know that gems typically don’t share across counts. PC and Switch gems share, but Playstation and Xbox don’t. It is best only to buy gems on one version of the game and make your in-game purchases there. Hi-Rez Studios has published a list of the many FaQs related to Smite crossplay and cross progression.
