Fortnite has only gone and done it again, adding in more crazy features in the latest update in Season 6. One of the new things in the latest version of the game is animals, which Players can tame. We will teach you how to tame the various animals on the island, including how to tame boars in Fortnite along with wolves and chickens.

How to Tame Boars

Taming a boar in Fortnite couldn’t be easier. Players can find animals all over the map, but just like in real life, boars love woodlands. It seems like boars spawn in the woods more, so it’s best to go to places that suit that environment. Some of the suggested areas on the Fortnite Season 6 map include Lazy Lake and Misty Meadows to the south, which is dark green environments.

Speaking of real life, boars tend to eat forage items like fruits. Players can find fruits in Fortnite to feed boars. Things like Apples, Peppers and other vegetation are good options for boars found in food boxes or taking food directly from farms.

Once you have food and a boar, throw the food on the floor and wait for the boar to start eating it. You can then walk up to it and tame a boar in Fortnite with interaction buttons.

Boars are some of the easiest animals to tame in Fortnite, as boars tend only to attack when threatened. So it should theoretically be the easiest to tame.

How to Tame Wolves

Just like taming boars, wolves follow a very similar process. Although, wolves are natural predators and therefore require meat to tame. To get meat, the player must go hunting. Killing things like chicken and boars are ways to get meat. You are best off ignoring Frogs as frogs don’t drop meat.

Once a player finds a wolf scouting around the map, you can then feed it the meat and interact with it as it eats. While it sounds easy enough, wolves are much more vicious in Fortnite compared to boars. Learning how to tame a wolf in Fortnite requires care and caution, as they will attack players much easier. If worst comes to the worst, a player may have to shoot the wolf when it strikes, ruining your progress. This is one of the reasons why it is much easier to tame a boar in Fortnite.

How to Tame Raptors in Fortnite

When the taming animals feature released, raptors were not around Fornite. However, they have recently hatched and are now causing a Jurassic problem. Raptors Eggs were seen knocking around all over the map. The most frequent reports of the Raptor Eggs appear to be in the Stealthy Stronghold,  slightly west of the Misty Meadows, The Spire, and the Weeping Woods.

Once when you know the location of an untamed raptor, you’ll need to tame it just like other animals. To do this, you need to craft a Hunting Clock to stealth up to it without it getting hostile on you. From there, you need to collect two pieces of meat to feed it and one bone. When you have the recipe complete, you can walk up to an untamed raptor and interact with it.

A Tamed Raptor can aid you in battle just like a boar and a wolf, attacking the people who attack you. But be warned, taming a Raptor is no easy feat. Just like Wolves, they’ll attack if you get too close. The worst part is that Raptors are even deadlier than Wolves, as they can call for aid from nearby Raptor(s). Furthermore, it is unlikely you are going to outrun a Raptor in Fortnite.

More Animals to Tame?

There are also a few more animals to interact within Fortnite Season 6. Players can play with Chickens, making them glide alongside you if you can sneak up to them with a Hunter’s Cloak. Furthermore, frogs are in the game, but they drop stink sacks which are used for crafting.

If there is any more information on taming animals on Fortnite, we will update this guide as and when we can. Happy hunting!
