Ubisoft has announced that the Rainbow Six Extraction release date is set for September 16, The game’s release date comes with come gameplay, a trailer and other rundowns on what to expect from the newly announced game.

Rainbow Six Extraction’s release date was announced during the Ubisoft Forward broadcast, as part of the E3 Day 1 show. The showcase went into detail on the lore on the Extraction enemies, first spotted back in 2018 during the outbreak Limited Time Mode for Rainbow Six. Since those years have passed, the virus has mutated, creating alien-like creatures known as the Archaeans, each with different military ranks.

A gameplay trailer shows three members of the Rainbow Six Siege character list team up, using familiar style gameplay to take hostels out quietly. From there, they encounter different enemy types, along with a black mass on the floor called Sprawl that reacts to layer detection.

Players have several objectives to fulfil, going through different areas of difficulty. Player’s can opt to do a  third difficulty for more rewards but is an optional harder mode. Speaking of difficulty, if player’s go down, they become M.I.A and need rescuing, otherwise, they are temporarily out just like Left 4 Dead.

For those who are coming from a Siege background, there are nine confirmed Siege Operators in the game. They are:

  • Alibi
  • Doc
  • Ela.
  • Finka
  • Hibana
  • Lion
  • Pulse
  • Sledge

Apparently, there are 18 Siege Operators coming to Rainbow Six Extraction, so we guess there’s more announcements or reveals to come. Although, they’ll have to come soon with Rainbow Six Extraction’s launch set for September 16. Players can get the game on PC via the Epic Store and Ubisoft Connect.
