Dragon Ball Legends is a Gacha game for iOS and Android featuring many of the show’s characters, fighting in a story, end game PvE, and PvP game modes. With many different heroes to select, earn and unlock, working out the best can be a challenge. Well, relax, as we have a Dragon Ball Fighters Tier List to help you work out who exactly is the best Fighter in Dragon Ball Fighters.
Tier List Notes
The Dragon Ball Legends Tier List breaks down the game’s characters into five brackets: S, A, B, C, and D Tiers. The five brackets represent who is the better pick, based on general trends of the characters within each tier. For example, the S Tier contains the best Fighters in Dragon Ball Legends, while the D Tier contains the very worst.
Due to the nature of Gacha games, the more rare the character is to acquire, the likelier their power level is closer to 9000. Although, this is merely a general rule. Typically, Gacha games have many characters, so trying to grab the best becomes quite a long grind, with luck playing a big part. Also, like other Gacha titles, the game has a rock-paper-scissors aspect. There are five colours in the game, with each colour being a counter to another colour. We will note the colors of the characters in the tiers below, but note that it doesn’t necessarily mean much unless you don’t build a balanced composition of colors.
With all that said, here are the definitions of all the tier list rankings.
- S Tier – These are the best characters in the game right now. They have extremely powerful moves and combos which make them a force to be reckoned with against most other characters.
- A Tier – These characters are also very powerful and can sometimes match those in the S Tier, but they just lack a few characteristics that would otherwise place them in that category. Overall, they are still excellent picks and should not be overlooked.
- B Tier – These picks are also quite good and have promising potential with moves for certain situations but they have too many flaws to be placed in the upper tiers. However, these picks are definitely still viable if the player is skilled enough to use them.
- C Tier – You also need quite a considerable amount of skill to pull these characters off but in general, they are not the best to use and you should opt for those who fall in the categories above in most cases. They are still viable in very few cases but once again, they are not easy to use.
- D Tier – These characters will not give you a great chance at winning matches and require huge amounts of skill to pull off. If you manage to defeat opponents with these then consider it to be a huge accolade but in general you should opt for those in higher tiers.
Dragon Ball Legends Tier List
S Tier
The S Tier here contains quite a handful of characters that are more than viable. Some of the characters in this section have always been the best, but as the game has progressed, there are new entries into the Dragon Ball Legends Tier List.
Some of the best fighters in Dragon Ball Fighters are the Super Saiyan Gohan and Goku characters. Some of the more noteworthy versions of these characters are Gohan Red and Purple and Goku Green, Blue and Purple.

A Tier
The A Tier contains plenty of characters that you may like using, which are more than good enough to take you to the next level. Know that these characters are only slightly behind the S tier picks above them.
A few of the more notable elements in this section are Fighters like SP Half-corrupted Fusion Zamasu. The character has relatively low defense characteristics for a character ranked as highly in the Dragon Ball Fighters Tier List. However, the half corrupted character has so much damage to dish out. By himself, the character is an appropriate mid-A Tier character. However, with some solid regenerative allies from the S or A Tier, this can become a core piece of any PvP or PvE composition.
On the other hand, SP Picollo Yellow is a decent character if you need a tanky character. Recently, this character got a Zenkai Boost, which greatly improves his attacking strength when activated. If you need a tanky character to pop off simultaneously, this could be a great addition to your Fighters. Alternatively, you can go Demon King Piccolo and steal opposing player’s Dragon Balls as a unique feature of his kit. Once again, the plastyle is preferential as both perform.

B Tier
The B Tier mainly contains characters with which you’ll begin building an actual long-term squad, but will not be central pieces.
One of the more interesting things you may notice about this section is the SP Demon King Piccolo Aged ranking on this Dragon Ball Legends Tier List. While this version of Piccolo is designed to be in the same tier as his younger self, this character has a key requirement to succeed. If he can survive for 30 timer counts, or earn five Dragon Balls, then we cannot understate how strong this gets. However, it is a commitment to keep this character alive or acquiring five dragon balls. We deem it a B Tier pick because of how long it takes to pull off and how niche the strategy is. However, if you like the late game playstyle, know it does with and is viable.

D- Tier
We have decided to slightly distinguish between the characters in the D Tier and the D- minus Tier. We strongly believe that separating the D- minus characters is useful, especially for beginner players who may land on a fairly rare character and use them not knowing they are bad. Furthermore, the D- characters are also the worst of the worst easy to acquire characters. The common trend between the D- D and C Tier remains the same, some of the older characters that are not that great, along with some of the nerfed mid tier characters or ones left behind with new systems added in.
