Team BDS Esports has become the RLCS Season X Spring European Regional 1 Champions. The mixed Frech and Spanish side take the first RLCS Spring Regional, marking their territory over EU competition.
The RLCS European splits are back, with the RLCS Season X Europe scene back in play. The first event back is the RLCS European League, with the first regional weekend playing out. The typical European RLCS teams are in play, with the likes of BDS Esports, Team Vitality Renault, Guild Esports, Endpoint, and more competing in the first event of the split.
However, not much seems to have changed since the last showing at the end of February. Team BDS, the European Winter Major Champions are back, showing the RLCS they hadn’t been slacking since the team’s victory back on February 21.
Team BDS competed against 19 other teams, beating out all their opponents in Group A, featuring Team Queso, Galaxy Racer, Aether, and Pirates. Moving on, BDS faced Guild Esports in the knockouts, with Guild only scoring one goal in three games. They then advanced into the Playoffs Stage, beating White Demons easily in quarters. Giants Gaming was the first team not only to take a game off BDS, but they took two maps off them in the semis. Regardless, BDS powered on through meeting regional rivals Team Vitality in the Grand Finals, winning that 4-2.
With BDS victory in the Season X Spring European Regional 1, BDS Esports moves one step closer to making it to the Spring Major. The Spring Major requires the 20 best teams in the region to reveal themselves through Spring circuit points or the Grid Championship. The Majors pit the qualified teams against each other at the close of the Season X splits.
With the conclusion to the RLCS Season X Spring European Regional 1, North America is up next with their returning event. NA teams will aim to battle for their first Spring event back, rotating weekends with Europe. Those interested in reading more can check out the Spring RLCS information here.
With this win, @TeamBDS earn their fifth European #RLCSX Regional Championship!
