Ubisoft has announced that both Nora Rengo and Tempra have left the competitive Rainbow Six esports scene. The teams forfeit their rosters, and the R6 Share skins are no longer available effective immediately. On the contrary, TrainHard Esports will replace Tempra and compete in the European League in its place.

During the 2021 off-season, Fresh organization Tempra Esports failed to complete and register a roster with the European League in time. The 2020 roster qualified through the old Challenger League system with a full French roster. However, the organization has since not completed a roster, meaning Ubisoft had to remove them from the league, finding another organization to replace them to ensure ten teams can remain in Europe.

As a result, Trainhard Esports has come to fill in their spot. The organization previously had a team competing in the Nordic League but failed to make it to the Challenger League with the roster. Instead, the roster has managed to come to terms with Ubisoft and are the tenth team in the European League. They have acquired a full French roster, with Tempra’s Christophe “Chaoxys” Soares transferring over in the process.

Over in APAC, there is a similar story. A long-time Japanese squad, which won fans’ hearts and minds worldwide with their charming energy, has left the scene. The organization failed to field a team in time, and their license as reverted to Ubisoft. However, Ubisoft has indicated plans to find a replacement coming soon. Fans of the APAC north scene can expect to find a new team to keep the league’s structure intact.

This is not the first bit of Rainbow Six Competitive announcements. Estral Esports was banned from competing in all Ubisoft events in March due to match-fixing.

Both the APAC North and the European League Season 2 Stage 1 kick off on March 18. The events see the regular seasons of both regions and are the first T1 gameplay we will see since the Finals in January.
