Ever since Halo Infitinte’s appearance during the Microsoft and Bethesda conference at E3 2021, the game is gaining traction. Some of the game’s showcase and demos from the event included more information on the story, multiplayer, and cinematics. With the news, it is a crossplay multiplayer game it means it will utilise some modern specs. For the PC players out there, here are the Halo Infinite System Requirements we think is needed.

System Requirements

Before jumping in head first, note the Halo Infinite intends on being played on the Xbox One while being the Xbox Series X|S flagship title, despite its year-long delay. Furthermore, it is getting a free-to-play multiplayer for PC too. The three different launches mean that there will be some lee-way with the system requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 1660 or equivalent
  • CPU: Intel I5 4K series or equivalent
  • RAM: 8GB
  • OS: Windows 8.1

The graphics card for Halo Infinite is a tricky one. Many modern games playable on both the new generation Xbox Series X|S and PC seem to want a GTX 970 to run the game on minimum settings. It will likely mean that the 970 is as low as you can reasonably go for the title. Although, the other minimum spec with some breathing room will likely be the 1660 or an AMD equivalent.

As for the CPU, it is not all that important for multiplayer, unless it handles the larger server sizes. Alternatively, if you plan on playing the Open World campaign as advertised for the game, then an I5 4k series will be more than enough to handle it.

Recommended Settings

  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1080
  • CPU: I5 6K or equivalent
  • RAM: 16GB
  • OS: Windows 10

For the recommended settings, the GPU being 1080 seems perfectly reasonable. Based on other games, 1080 is a flagship card with a bit of age to it. While it is superseded by the 20 and now 30 series GPUs, it is still a powerful card. There is no doubt it will run Halo Infinite’s campaign and multiplayer fine. As for the CPU, it is unlikely you’ll need much more than the minimum recommended CPU, but to be safe, a 6th gen processor or I7 4k series will handle the game perfectly fine.

Once again, please note this is purely speculation. The evidence is based on the PC requirements of other recently launched flagship games within the Xbox Series X|S launches, such as Black Ops Cold War and Cyberpunk 2077. Since these system requirements are similar to those launches, they should be in the same position to handle the Halo Infinite system requirements.
