Destiny 2 is Bungie’s flagship title, having used its Halo heritage to build one of the biggest online shooters currently on the market. The sci-fi MMOFPS (massively multiplayer online first-person shooter) takes players around the Solar System playing one of three classes as a member of the Human, Exo or Awoken races. These classes are integral to the game’s open world, instanced PvE dungeons and trials, and PvP game modes. As you progress in your chosen career, you’ll encounter crowded cities, expansive plains, and instanced levels filled with mobs and other delights. So, if you fancy playing Bungie’s hit MMOFPS to its fullest, here are the Destiny 2 system requirements.

The Destiny 2 minimum requirements are likely the absolute lowest you can go. The GTX 660 is a graphics card (GPU) that launched in 2012 and It was one of Nvidia’s earliest budget gaming graphics cards. Contextually, the GTX 660 is a very dated budget card, lucky enough to even be mentioned as a minimum requirement. To an extent, it is actually surprising it can run Destiny 2 at a minimum spec. It definitely won’t be able to run the Battlefield 2042 that’s for sure. When you put it in perspective, pretty much any GPU launched in the last eight years should be able to easily handle the most basic Destiny 2 video settings. Therefore, do not fret about the Destiny 2 system requirements, as it will run on almost any dedicated gaming PC these days.

Back in the day when Destiny 2 got its free trial on Battle.net, way before Bungie unshackled itself from the Activision’s chains of domination, an old Gaming Verdict computer, which had an AMD FX8350 and GTX 970 ran it at 60fps on high settings. However, every now and then there would be frame skips and things would get rather toasty. In this instance, the processor in question is below the recommended AMD Ryzen 5 1600x. So if you have a dated medium spec build, then you’ll be pleased to know your old-timer can easily handle the recommended Destiny 2 system requirements. The better your build, the less likelyhood you’ll experience these hiccups. If you have a gaming monitor capable of 120hz or 144hz, you should be able to experience frame rates well in excess of 60.
