Fortnite continues on with another character crossover, as Epic Games have confirmed on their social media channels that Wonder Woman will be the next DC Comics hero to join the never-ending fight on Apollo Island. With her arrival, fans of the DC comic book franchise and it’s media adaptations can complete “The Trinity”, a group that also includes famous heroes Batman and Superman.

DC have been doing a lot of cross-promotion with Fortnite lately, with several skins arriving in the game throughout 2021 to promote their brands and associated projects. The list of other DC characters recently released for the game includes The CW’s Arrow and Flash, Bloodsport from the James Gunn film The Suicide Squad and a unique mash-up of the classic and New 52 versions of Superman in the most recent Fortnite Battle Pass.

It’s an interesting way to do things, as Marvel crossovers have typically retained the comic book aesthetic and not used things from the films and TV shows based on the characters.

Fortnite also crossed over into the world of DC comic books themselves this year, with the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point crossover miniseries proving itself to be a mega-hit that consistently topped the charts for the six months it was released. A hotly anticipated sequel one-shot called Batman/Fortnite: Foundation is expected to release on 27 October 2021.

Everything in Wonder Woman’s Fortnite set.

The Amazonian princess from Paradise Island is probably going to cost around 1,500 to 2,000 V-Bucks, as is standard for new comic book crossover skins in the game. Her skin set is DC Comics (Legendary) Rarity and includes a Themysciran cape, golden wing glider and a large battle axe. You can also win Wonder Woman by competing for her in the Wonder Woman Cup on August 18, 2021.

What’s going on on Fortnite Island?

We’re starting to learn more about the loop.

As we head into the final weeks of Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 7, Epic Games has been teasing new reveals about the lore of the mysterious island. In a series of loading screen wallpaper reveals, they have shown the IO (Imagined Order) Headquarters, potentially even revealing that the Battle Royale gameplay loop may in fact be an attempt to study the storm from the less popular Save The World mode. That’ll likely be important, so we’re excited to see what happens next.
