The end of Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 7 is approaching rapidly and as usual the Wild Weeks of special challenges and their usual experiments with Fortnite’s metagame are in full swing. Epic Games is determined to surprise us with new skins that come out of left field, but this one certainly took us by surprise. — It’s Will Smith.

HYPEX, a well known Fortnite leaker discovered that actor-musician-superstar Will Smith was in Fortnite’s code. It’s likely he’ll be added as a playable character in a coming update. According to the datamined information, the model is of his character Mike Lowrey from the Bad Boys film franchise.

It’s an odd choice, as Will Smith was the lead in both Men in Black and Independence Day —both of which would better fit with the alien invasion theme— but I suppose Epic Games will take what they can get if they can put The Fresh Prince in the game at all.

Will Smith has played Mike Lowrey in three films, so it’s safe to say that the character likely does have some fans. Lowrey is a police officer for the Miami PD that takes down notorious drug dealers with his partner Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence). Both cops are notorious for not following the rules and getting in trouble with the Miami Police Department’s management due to their reckless abandon. It is extremely likely that we will see Marcus arrive in the game before too long, too.

There’s been no word on what the Mike Lowrey set contains yet, but we expect the skin to cost between 1500 and 2000 v-bucks when it releases.
