If you would like to delete your Fortnite account, then look no further – the step by step process is listed below.
There are many reasons as to why you may want to delete your Fortnite account, but we recommend that you think carefully before you do so. This is because the action of deleting your account is permanent and the process cannot be reversed, so it is best that you give the idea a lot of thought before making the decision.
Deleting your Fortnite account will mean that you will have to delete your Epic Games account, as Fortnite uses Epic’s platform to save games, transfer data and back up any player progress.
Additionally, deletion of your account will also erase everything from your game data to associated purchases. All your progress on Fortnite for the account will be lost and you will lose access to any games you bought from Epic Games. Your Epic Games friends list disappears and any downloadable content (DLC) like Fortnite V-Bucks will be removed.
How to delete your Fortnite account
- First, hover the cursor over your Epic Games username and select Account > General Settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- Then, next to Delete Account, select Request Account Delete. You’ll get an email code. Enter it and select Confirm Delete Request.
- To unlink an Epic Games account: Go to Account > Connected Accounts > Disconnect.

After 15 seconds, you’ll be logged out and your account will be disabled. Your account will be permanently deleted in 14 days.
