FaZe Clan, formerly FaZe Sniping, describes themselves as the most popular eSports organization and team in the world. FaZe clan was founded in the US in 2010 and has headquarters in Los Angeles.
Originally created as a gaming clan by Eric “CLipZ” “Housecat,”now known as “Timid,” and Ben “Resistance,” FaZe Sniping premiered on YouTube in 2010 gaining a reputation for trickshotting. FaZe became the first to do trickshotting as a team, though others had some the same on a solo basis. The organization has since evolved into an eSports powerhouse fielding teams in Fortnite, CS:GO, Call of Duty, FIFA, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite Battle Royale and PUBG.
FaZe has expert rosters than regularly win top championships. It also boasts a whole host of streamers and players who have become household names amongst the eSports fanbase.
Most recently in 2020, FaZe Clan expanded into the Asian esports scene by acquiring rosters for PUBG Mobile and FIFA Online. As per Esports Earnings, to March 2020, FaZe Clan has won nearly $9 million in esports prizes from over 300 tournaments. The most prize winnings come from competing in CS:GO at nearly $3.5 million for the one game title alone. The team’s highest earning player is Håvard “rain” Nygaard who has earned nearly $700,000.
Most recently in 2020 FaZe Clan has extended and expanded its partnership with energy drinks brand G FUEL who will continue to contribute to the team’s content creation, merchandise and its branded collaborative drink FaZeberry.
