Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz is a Danish professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) player and former Counter-Strike: Source competitor. His is currently signed to Danish team Astralis and is also known as “device” and formerly “devve.” He was born on September 8, 1995 and is currently 24 years old.
Reedtz esports career began in 2011 and began playing CS:GO competitively in 2013 with Copenhagen Wolves. He competed with heroic in 2013 before returning to Copenhagen Wolves and then playing for über G33KZ in late 2013 until early 2014. He joined Team Dignitas in February 2014 and moved to Team SoloMid in January 2015. He began competing with Astralis in January 2016.
Astralis, in December 2019, became the first esports team to launch an IPO and publicly list shares in the company for sale to investors.
The current Astralis CS:GO line up consists of Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth, Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, Emil “Magisk” Reif, and coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen.
On March 3rd 2019 the Astralis CS:GO team won the IEM Major in Katowice and on September 8th 2019 the team won the StarLadder Major in Berlin. In September 2018 they won the FACEIT Major in London and in January 2017 the ELEAGUE Major in Atlanta.
Reedtz is currently on the team as the AWPer and is classed as one of the best CS:GO players of all time. He frequently appears in HLTV’s best player rankings, ranking 2nd in 2018 and 3rd in a number of other years.
Along with a number of his teammates he has won the greatest number of Major tournaments.
As per Esports Earnings, to March 2020, Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz has won over $1,716,000 in prize money from 132 tournaments. By earnings he is ranked 5th in Denmark and 46th in the world.
