Control Becomes Temporarily Free on Epic Games Store

Epic Games continues its roll of out of giving away hit games for free on its Epic Games Store. From June 10 -17, 2019 hit Sci-Fi  Shooter, Control is available for free. You’ll have to redeem the game during this period, otherwise, it goes back to the full price of £23.99 or $29.99 USD.

Control originally launched in August of 2019, receiving several expansions, a battle pass, and other DLC content. Players will still need to pay for The Foundation and AWE DLC. Furthermore, an Ultimate Edition of the game was released last year, which players will have to upgrade to receive the benefits from it.

With the game launching in 2019, it is safe to say lots of modern PCs can certainly handle it. Although, if you haven’t been able to grab any of the recent generation hardware due to the crypto and stock shortages since 2019, here are Control System Requirements so you know if it is worth downloading and playing.

For the basic Control system requirements, the game is very easy to access for more dated systems. However, if you want to reap all of the graphical settings, and taking advantage of the ray tracing technology, you’ll need a more modern machine with parts launched in 2018/2019.
