Upcoming Souls-like game, Elden Ring, co-authored by Song of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin, has a release date. The Elden Ring Release date is January 21, 2022, and launches on all mainstream consoles and PCs.

During the Summer Game Fest, Bandai Namco’s flagship RPG game appeared as the final game on the schedule on June 10 2021. The trailer didn’t offer all that much gameplay, but it featured some storytelling and fights.

The gameplay trailer opened with the Golden Order had fallen, resulting in the collapse of the Elden Ring world. All the calamity centres on the Elden Ring, which is the main focus of the game’s narrative.

The player character appears on horseback, riding down a barren world, before coming to a stop with demons protecting a caravan. Furthermore, the trailer shows off some boss battles, with quite the variety mixed in. It appears players can expect to see a mystical flying yet dead unicorn, along with giants with more arms than necessary and other gothic horrors in medieval high fantasy cities.

Based on the gameplay, we can see the player character has a longsword, which can gain magical properties. In one scene, the sword shines blue and extends into the sky. On the other hand, the game features a horse that appears to be the protagonist’s companion through the game’s open and barren landmasses.

There is doubt more is to come on the Elden Ring, so keep your eyes peeled for the Bandai Namco E3 conference later in the Summer Game Fest. We could expect more gameplay, as well as what magical and physical capabilities the protagonist has.
