Dying Light’s expansion pack, Hellraid, has gotten a free update.  Dying Light: Hellraid – The Prisoner update is a free content update for the medieval spin on the game, granting a whole new Story Mode, along with new areas, weapons and more.

The Story Mode of Dying Light is the game’s way of experience a narrative in the zombie parkour of Dying Light. In the Hellraid expansion, players are transported to a dark fantasy medieval world, with spells and weaponry fitting to the period. While Hellraid released a while back, the new content expands upon the game’s content for free.

Prisoner Adventure takes players into the Demoninfested temple of Ba’al to rescue the mage, Lucius, from captivity. Players will get a few new quests, along with facing new enemies like shielded skeletons.

Furthermore, the game has added the expansions first ranged weapon, the ornate bow, to slay enemies from afar. Likewise, the game has an overhauled lighting system to reflect better the game’s atmosphere and new animations, mini-map, and inventory management.

 

Dying Light Content Build Up

Techland’s free content is evident of a large amount of ramp-up ahead of the new Dying Light 2: Stay Human, which releases later this year. At the time of writing, Dying Light is currently on a massive sale, as the game aims to market its product ahead of E3 and more. It was only recently Techland launched their new website for Dying Light fans.

As it stands, there is plenty to look into for the original Dying Light, which can grant even more free content for those picking up the game or returning. Players can register to TechlandGG and link their Dying Light account to get their hands on exclusive new items. One of the flagships already on there is The Wasp, a brand new weapon for use in Dying Light, inspired by a weapon in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Furthermore, even a selection of never-before-seen concept art, images, and wallpapers is also available to download.
