Sony has announced details for the upcoming v1.3 patch for the smash hit Warhawk. This update, which will be made available for free soon; fixes apparent glitches as well as adds new weapons to the fun.

One of the new weapons, the "Field Wrench" can be used to repair damaged vehicles by hitting them. The wrench can also be used to damage opposing vehicles and is a one-hit kill when used against an opponent (similar to the combat knife). The other weapon that is being added is the Bio-Field Generator, which when placed; heals friendly targets. When opposing forces enter into the area of the Bio-Field Generator, their health is drained (the field is labelled by color; friendly or enemy).

Also coming via the update is Home integration, which allows gamers to launch games directly from their apartments in Home. Sadly, Home isn’t out yet, so we will have to wait to use that feature. VOIP has also been added, after numerous requests, making the chatting during gameplay that much more easier and enjoyable.

Lastly, the contest winners from the Insignia and Skin contest will have their winning entries added onto the game. As of right now, the patch is being tested, so the release date is unknown. However, when it releases, it will be worth the wait.
