MTV Games/Harmonix today announced the release of a 12 song pack of the best of The Who. The pack is to include three tracks from The Who’s "Live at Leeds" concert album, Rock Band’s first live tracks.

Despite the pack’s designation as a "Best of", it seems curiously lacking in the Who’s actual best songs. Pinball Wizard, Substitute, I Can’t Explain and I Can See For Miles are all conspicuous by their absence. In fact, only three of the twelve tracks appear on the album "The Very Best of The Who".

Priced at $1.99 (160 Microsoft points) per track or $19.99 (1600 Microsoft points) for the pack, all tracks utilize the original master recordings, which is just as well really.
