It has been reported that 3 major US retailers have, at the same time, stated that Startcraft 3 will be released into shops on December 3rd 2008. 

Whilst there has been no official confirmation that this could be the case, it does seem to be more than a coincedence that the date is mention by all 3 retailers at the same time.  Expect to hear more soon as Blizzard’s 2008 Worldwide Invitational kicks of this weekend in Paris.
