So, to be fair on the baying public, and to the game, I’ve split this review into two sections. In Bold, you will find the "Aerosmith fans" review. In italics, you will find the "Entirely un-arsed about Aerosmith" review. Keep up.
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is brilliant. As a fan of Aerosmith the game makes me cry tears of weepy joy, watching my favouritest ever band play some of their bestest songs ever. Pretending to be Steven Tyler is the only wish i’ve had since emerging from the womb, and I struggle to think of anything quite as satisfying as this game.
Guitar Hero Aerosmith is so bloody average. As a complete apathist toward Aerosmith this game makes me cry tears of sodden boredom, watching this bland American wash-out band play some of their cotton-candy Rock tracks for other’s amusement. Pretending to be Mick Jagger’s shadow is about as much fun as it sounds. I struggle to think of anything that satisfies me about this game.

There’s a whole load of information here about the band, and the entire game follows the chronology of their rise to fame, from their first rock show Mendon Nipmuc Regional High School to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, you’ll learn about the band as well as you play. There are some great interviews here by Aerosmith too which you can unlock with in-game-cash, as well as being able to unlock other great stuff such as new characters.
There’s a whole load of useless information here about this band, as the game goes back to their roots when they played at some school, up until the point that the world went mad and they were entered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Lame. You’ll learn a whole load of stuff you didn’t really care about, and there’s some boring chit-chat before each track too, at which point you can sit and stretch your fingers. You can waste your in-game-cash on unlocking these too at a later point, as well as being able to waste your money on copious amounts of Cocaine before checking yourself into virtual rehab (Possibly a lie).
